Geology Reveals: Two Creations, Two Worldwide Floods

findingtruthmatters.org

Here is startling proof — from the Bible and geology — demonstrating not only two widely separated creations, but two world-wide destructions! Few have understood this astonishing truth!

Contrary to what millions have been led to believe — the true facts of science and the truth of your Bible agree! Theologians have long kept hidden this surprising truth. It conflicts with their theology. Atheistic professors have suppressed it. Science has refused to believe it.

Only a few understand where the key which unlocks the amazing geologic history of the earth is. It has been in the FIRST TWO VERSES OF YOUR BIBLE all these years — and you probably never noticed it.

The FOUNDATION of Knowledge

The very first truth revealed in your Bible is: “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth” (Gen. 1:1). This earth was created so perfect, so beautiful, that “the morning stars {the angels — Rev. 1:20} sang for joy” (Job 38:7).

Yet the very next inspired verse of your Bible reveals that this perfect earth was destroyed by a terrible catastrophe! Genesis 1:2 reveals, “And the earth was without form, and void.”

The original Hebrew word, which the King James translators translated “was” in verse two, ought to be translated “became.” It is so translated in Genesis 19:26, in Genesis 2:7, and in many other verses of the Bible. Turn to the example in Genesis 19:26. In this verse the same Hebrew word which is INCORRECTLY translated “WAS” in Genesis 1:2 is here CORRECTLY translated “BECAME.”

Notice, God warned Lot and his wife not to look behind as they escaped from the burning city of Sodom. Lot’s wife disobeyed this command and looked back longingly at the wicked city of Sodom, “She BECAME a pillar of salt” (v. 26).

Obviously, Lot’s wife had not always been a pillar of salt! But when she sinned, she became a pillar of salt.

In like manner, the earth wasn’t originally created a waste and in confusion! The correct translation of Genesis 1:2 from the original inspired Hebrew makes clear: “The earth BECAME without form, and void.”

This truth is further brought out when we note in Genesis 1:2 that the English “without form” was translated from the original Hebrew word “tohu,” which means “desolation” or “confusion.” Is God the author of confusion?

The Apostle Paul was inspired to write: “God is not the author of confusion” (I Cor. 14:33).

Isaiah said, “He {God} created it {the earth} NOT IN VAIN {“tohu” in Hebrew — that is, not in chaos and confusion} (Isa. 45:18). It BECAME that way! (more…)

Have Scientists Finally Created Life?

Editors Comment: So scientists are supposed to have created artificial life by producing a living cell powered by man made DNA. The team took the genome of a simple bacterium, synthesized the gene sequences it needed and put them together. This synthetic genome was then put into another, empty bacterial cell and left to its own devices. Lo and behold, it flourished, and supposedly man had replicated life.

It all has a very “awesome” feel to it, but they don’t answer these simple questions:

1. Did they design and construct the host cell from nothing? No they used an existing one.
2. Did they design and create or copy the genetic code? Copy.
3. Did they create the computers or the materials used to put this thing together? No.
4. Why did the host cell begin multiplying after the new code was placed in it? Because that’s what God (the Master Programmer) created it to do!

It’s almost like me taking the spec sheet of a certain kind of engine, putting that engine together and then placing it into a different car than what it was designed for. Yes it’ll run, but that doesn’t mean I “created” anything. I just used materials that were already there. Now there may be some benefit to what they made, but I don’t agree that they “created”. I think they just “copied” using existing materials. Vroom vroom!

Have Scientists Finally Created Life?

Supposedly scientists finally did it. “Scientists Create Synthetic Life in Lab” trumpeted the Associated Press. bbc News announced an “‘Artificial Life’ Breakthrough.” “Scientists Create First Self-Replicating Synthetic Life,” proclaimed Wired Science.

After more than a century of trial and error, scientists say they have finally created life. But have scientists really disproved the law of biogenesis? Can life come from something besides life? Can it come from a test tube?

On May 21, the Wall Street Journal said humankind has potentially entered a “new era in biology.” For the first time, scientists “have created a synthetic cell, completely controlled by man-made genetic instructions,” it reported.

“This is literally a turning point in the relationship between man and nature,” one molecular biologist said. “For the first time, someone has generated an entire artificial cell with predetermined properties.”

The project’s leader, Craig Venter, said, “These are very much real cells” while simultaneously being “pretty clearly human inventions.” (more…)

Is Genesis 1 The Original Creation?

derek4messiah.wordpress.com

The Hebrew words for “without form and void” (Gen. 1:2) are tohu and bohu. Translated into English they mean chaotic, in confusion, waste, empty. Why would God create the earth in disorder and then have to straighten it out? That wouldn’t make sense! The Hebrew word for “created” used in Genesis 1:1 implies that the creation was a perfected work. It implies order and system, not chaos or confusion! In I Corinthians 14:33 we read that “God is not the author of confusion.” God is the author of peace. He is the author of law and order. God told Job that the angels shouted for joy when the earth was created (Job 38:7). This is further indication that when God created the earth, He created it useful and beautiful. Conclusive proof is found in Isaiah 45:18. Notice: “For thus saith the Eternal that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain…”

“In vain” is an inappropriate translation. The original Hebrew word is tohu. This is the same identical Hebrew word used in Genesis 1:2 meaning “confusion” or “emptiness” or “waste”-a result of disorder, a result of violation of law. Thus, this verse is a plain statement that when God created the earth it was not tohu-in a state of confusion and disorder. It became that way long before the seven day “creation week,” which actually begins in verse 3.

An added point of evidence is verse 2 of Genesis 1. Here the English word translated “was” is from the Hebrew word hayah. This word is translated “became” in Genesis 2:7, 9:15 and 19:26. In the first three chapters of the Bible, and many other places where you find the Hebrew word hayah, it denotes a condition that was different from a former condition. In other words, the earth “became” chaotic. It had not always been that way. (more…)
